LIKE THE SUN WE WILL LIVE TO RISE

I am aware that I have posted a gazillion pictures of my bedroom which is pretty lame and boring, although I just like documenting its different stages because I change it round so often and it reflects my interests and stuff. This should be a kind of final post on how it's turned out but I'm still not happy with how it looks though, so I'll probably end up posting a lot more pictures of it.
My wall of flower crowns (super original idea, I know), next to my waderobe. The top two are homemade, the red tinsel-y one is thrifted and the pink and yellow one was from New Look, with more flowers wired on. The blue feathered one was given to me by a vintage shop owner and it belongs there, even if the only time it's been worn was when Rosina was a caddis fly in a video we made for history in year 9 (don't ask.) Most of the necklaces are homemade and in the corner are some of the things friends wrote on my wall at my birthday.
The top of my waderobe (which is handmade 1950s and I am forever obsessed with it) is mainly fake flowers and some paintings my mum found in the loft when we moved in, as well as my old dancing shoes from the brief part of my life where I went to dance classes three times a week and my feet were that tiny. The pape mache cat is one of my favourite things I own and was 20p in a carboot sale a few years ago and underneath it all are various coranation handkerchiefs I've collected.

My stepdad gave me some Beatrice Potter '45s he had when he was a kid and because they're too scratched to play or be worth anything and are too pretty to keep in a box I pinned them to the wall along with some very shrivelled roses, lace and playing card garlands. The playing cards are another thing I've aquired and don't have much use for so I've been pinning them to ribbons and hanging them around my room. The Sweet Valley High books are mainly for their brilliant pastel covers although I can't deny the fact I love reading them.
This typewriter belonged to my stepdad's mum and is just literally the most perfect thing ever. It's my antivenom to the amount of time I spend on the internet.
Part of the wall above my fireplace with sheet music (also from my stepdad's mum), my brother's old dreamcatcher (virtually everything I own is second hand yh) and more playing cards and dried flowers. Basically I've been trying to justify the amount of stuff I garner by having the majority of it on display, hence why my room has a lot of display space and almost no storage. Hence also why under my bed is so crammed with old school books and other random objects which don't look cute however they're displayed. I realised the other day that I haven't returned a single textbook or class reader since year seven but am too scared to take them back now so I might just sneak them all in after christmas.

My relatives all arrived for christmas today so I've been hiding on my bottom bunk a lot and rewatching Hugh Grant movies for the billonth time to avoid cigarette smoke and aggressive terriers and getting told how much I've grown since last year (about 1cm to be honest.) I brought my unicorn t-shirt in Bristol after my birthday and have been wearing it almost constantly since then and it is getting to be one of those things with good memories attached that I never want to take off. The optical illusion shirt is a hand me down, necklaces from Topshop and Primark, vintage skirt, Primark tights and shoes a guy at a car boot gave me.

My bottom bunk has become my den for the winter as I can't use my outdoor one. The wall at the back has song lyrics written on it and Indian puppets which I used to collect, there's bits of gold tinsel-y stuff from the scrapstore at the front, hung up vintage dresses and silk scarves on the ladder. I was trying to duck face here and ended up smizing.
Well, it's 18:06 on christmas eve now and I'm starting to realise that I've wrapped presents for about 3 people and am totally unprepared for tomorrow and my aunt's dog is currently trying to kill my hamster. I hope everyone who celebrates has a good christmas with food and cheesy music and stuffz.
