all of them witches

“How strange it is. We have these deep terrible lingering fears about ourselves and the people we love. Yet we walk around, talk to people, eat and drink. We manage to function. The feelings are deep and real. Shouldn’t they paralyse us? How is it we can survive them, at least for a little while? We drive a car, we teach a class. How is it no one sees how deeply afraid we were, last night, this morning? Is it something we all hide from each other, by mutual consent? Or do we share the same secret without knowing it? Wear the same disguise?”- Don DeLillo

“You just do it. You force yourself to get up. You force yourself to put one foot before the other, and God damn it, you refuse to let it get to you. You fight. You cry. You curse. Then you go about the business of living. That’s how I’ve done it. There’s no other way.”

— Elizabeth Taylor
“Young writers should read books past bedtime and write things down in notebooks when they are supposed to be doing something else.”
— Lemony Snicket
“Being honest may not get you a lot of friends but it’ll always get you the right ones.”
— John Lennon
“The difference between how you look and how you see yourself is enough to kill most people…the reason vampires don’t die is because they can never see themselves in photographs or mirrors.”
― Chuck Palahniuk
“Wake up every morning and tell yourself that you’re a badass bitch from hell and that no one can fuck with you and then don’t let anybody fuck with you.”
— Kate Nash’s advice to college students

Some witchy inspiration for this week and quotes which are relevant to how I feel at the moment because most of my friends are in Belgium on a school trip so I'm super lonely and feeling pretty lame. Mostly from Tumblr apart from Rosemary's Baby and Virgin Suicides screen caps and Grimes. I've got some transfer paper to make a t-shirt like that one. The last picture is me looking cheerful some time ago. Last night I had a slightly bizarre and teriffyingly realistic New Girl stlye dream about sharing a flat in New York with five weirdos and earning a living doing tarot card readings so now I'm convinced that's my future.

I really love this collection of pictures - I'm in a witchy mood already (despite it not being even close to halloween). I think my favorite pictures is the one with the "emergency tiara"
